Jane Hill brings Spunk In My Eyes to the SU Lounge at Plymouth University Students’ Union. Jane’s candid, blackly comic show tackles cancer, courage and the exhausting pressure to stay positive with honesty, defiance and a refusal to embrace spiritual nonsense.

When you discover you have cancer, the pressure is on to be brave, to be a warrior, to “beat this thing.”

But what if you just can’t be arsed?

Jane Hill’s show is about dealing with ovarian cancer as an exhausted woman in her sixties with an intense hatred of positive mindsets and spiritual woo-woo.

It’s a blackly comic show about courage, cowardice, chemotherapy, and how to react when a kindly American woman on social media tells you that you have spunk in your eyes.
